This is it! I started running with the Running Buddies more seriously this summer. Then it was time to start training for their half-marathon. I was not interested at all. Frankly I thought they were crazy and I would just go until I couldn't go anymore. Well I guess I turned into one of the crazy people and just finished my first half-marathon this weekend! We met up at the expo on Saturday to pick up our race packets then we were on our way. There were 20-22 that trained together. Talk about a great time! I am so blessed to have gotten to run with such an amazing group of ladies.
Steve and the girls did the family fun run and had a good time. Madalyn took off again and loved it. She made it very clear that parents don't have to run with them and asked if we would sit out next time. I wonder were she gets her independence from? Norah was hot but was so happy when she finished.
All to say none of this would have been possible with out my amazing husband who supported me and always made sure I got my Saturday run in! He is so proud of me and an amazing sport for doing the fun run with the girls!
